B-Town is about to witness another grand Bollywood shaadi, and we cannot wait! Shershaah couple, Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, are all set to tie the knot on February 6. Sidharth Malhotra was launched by Karan Johar in 2010 while Kiara Advani made her acting debut with Fugly in 2014. Years down the line - both Sidharth and Kiara shared screen space in Shershaah in 2021 and this almost felt like it was always meant to be! ADDRESSING WEDDING RUMOURS...
Though Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani have been tight-lipped about their whirlwind romance, their love story more often than not has become the talk of the town. Be it an event, an award ceremony or even a chat show, all eyes have been on them. If you jog your memory, it was Salman Khan who had teased Sidharth Malhotra about his marriage plans when he visited the sets of Bigg Boss 16 to promote his film Thank God with co-star Rakul Preet Singh. After showing off his abs on national television, Salman got down to advice Sidharth, hinting at his wedding. This, however, wasn't the first time the actor was teased or asked about his marriage plans.
In fact, during the promotions of his film, Sidharth in an interview with India Today had opened up about the marriage speculations. He ultimately shrugged it off by saying that 'if it has to happen, people will know.' During JugJugg Jeeyo promotions in Delhi, even Kiara was put on the spot when Varun Dhawan, in an exclusive interview with India Today, was asked about his best friend Sidharth's wedding plans.
TAKING TRIPS TOGETHER
For the unversed, the link-up rumours of Sidharth and Kiara started doing the rounds after they began shooting for Shershaah. In 2019, the couple was seen flying to South Africa to spend New Year’s together. While they didn't reveal that they were on a vacation together, their fans were quick to connect the dots and put up similar pictures that proved they had a gala time during their getaway!
Sidharth and Kiara have also been to the Maldives for New Years in 2021. They were also spotted in Dubai together in 2022.
Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani sort of made it official when they returned to the country together after celebrating New Year 2023 in Dubai.
MEETING THE PARENTS
After dating for a while, the couple decided to take their relationship to the next stage. They introduced their parents to each other. Reports suggest that Kiara invited Sidharth and his parents to her home for an intimate dinner. In 2021, Kiara was also seen meeting Sidharth’s parents when they had come to Mumbai.
THE BREAK-UP RUMOURS
There were also strong breakup rumours for a brief period. The couple, however, was soon seen together on a few occasions, including Karan Johar's star-studded 50th birthday bash. Reports suggest that the filmmaker is extremely close to the couple and was not very happy with the news of their separation. Hence, he decided to sort it out between them.
Spilling the beans about the truth behind Sidharth and Kiara's break-up, an insider told IndiaToday.in, "Sidharth and Kiara are on a break. They are trying to work things out. It is not a split that happened over fights. It is amicable. They are currently not together as Sidharth is in Turkey. On the other hand, Kiara Advani is busy with the promotion of her movie, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. They are just taking time off from each other." The insider close to the couple further added, "Don't be surprised if you spot them together as they are very much into each other. They are trying to work things out."
